Parents tend to think that internet is not a reality, but their children don’t. It is as much real for them, as it can get and cyberbullying is as much painful for kids, as any other type of bullying in the real life. However, it is difficult to recognise cyberbullying and even stop it, as we cannot stop the internet. Therefore, we together with “Vaikų Linija” created a campaign for parents about everything they need to know on this matter.
To show parents, that their child might experience cyberbullying as of right now and invite them to find out how to help their children fight it at “Vaikų Linija” website.
IDEA AND SOLUTION
The tactic of shock has been used the most in Lithuanian social advertising campaigns. But as we know, disturbing imagery in ads usually works in an opposite way. So with “Vaikų Linija” we chose a different path. We took something that is widely recognisable, most colourful and most cheerful symbol in the whole internet – emoji and brought it into the real life. Implementing the idea that a happy face can carry a negative message as well.
